On Thursday 30th November the Oakton girls joined the Age Concern Epsom and Ewell volunteers to help pack and wrap Christmas hampers which will be distributed to the elderly in our community.

Along with 2 other volunteers we got a great little production line going and packed and wrapped about 50 hampers with lots of lovely goodies that will hopefully bring a smile to their recipients face this Christmas.

Age Concern Epsom and Ewell are a local charity offering invaluable support and services to the elderly in our community. There are many ways in which you can support them either through offering your time as a volunteer or supporting one of their fantastic fundraising events.
One of the Oakton team’s favourite events is the Comedy Night which is being held in Epsom College on 16th February 2018, if its half as good as last years one it will be fantastic!

As the saying goes “Many hands make light work” and with 6 sets of hands over just a couple of hours today (and some Christmas tunes to sing along to) we achieved an awful lot!  If every local company or family gave a little of their time to a local charity this Christmas can you imagine what would be achieved!

Find a local Charity this Christmas and give them the precious gift of a little bit of your time!
